The venue (Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg) is one of the Germanys most reknowned and noble Museum for textile, arts and craft in Hamburg. The programe of the day contains Kente presentations, speeches, panel discussion, networking, African food, music and cultural dance.
Expected dignitaries among others: Her Hon. Mrs. Catherine Afeku – Ghana’s Ministry of tourism, culture and creative arts, Mrs. Jana Schiedek – Hamburg’s counsel of state of the department of culture and media (Behörde für Kultur und Media), Prof. Dr. Charles Yankah – Afrika Kultur Institut Berlin as well as many high profiles from the National House of Chiefs in Ghana and Germany. In line with the IKF concept there will be a specific exhibition of the various type of the garment “Kente”, the weaving stool and information stands.
